Corporate Communications Special Interest Group (CCSIG)
As part of our promise to bring new scope to what the STC India Chapter offers the writing community, we are pleased to announce the Corporate Communications Special Interest Group (CCSIG), spear headed by none other than our STC veterans Peter Yorke and Tharun Unni!
This program to to address the needs of existing corporate communicators as well as those who would like to know more about corporate communication. A detailed program for the year is in progress, but we are pleased to begin with the mailing list. We do urge all of you who may be interested to join this program, and do stay tuned to the STC mailing list to get more updates.

Corporate Communications Special Interest Group (CCSIG)
Intention
It is proposed to start a Corporate Communications Special Interest Group (CCSIG) as part of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) India Chapter. The role of CCSIG will be to foster learning and interaction around subjects concerning the Corporate Communications field which is fast growing and gaining importance in the Indian software and technology industry.
Composition
CCSIG will consist of professionals of varying years of experience who are working in the area of Corporate Communications in technology companies across the country. Professionals may or may not be members of the STC. The group will be led by seniors from the industry who will play a role in mentoring and guiding members as well as leading the group with ideas and knowledge from the field of Corporate Communications.
Activities
The group intends to meet informally on a monthly basis – perhaps over a coffee – to discuss trends and issues facing the Corporate Communications function in a technology company. These sessions will be led by a senior and on some occasions a guest professional who will contribute substantially to the theme of the session.
Apart from this seniors will be available on an ad-hoc basis to answer queries or mentor individuals in the group.

These are only an indicative list of topics and more areas can be added depending on the need and requirement of the group.
Action Items:
Please write in expressing your interest in joining CCSIG and include in this note a paragraph on what you expect from CCSIG.
Also please indicate your availability and willingness to participate in at least one session every month. This will ensure adequate interest in the group and help keep it alive.
