Rubicon - An XQuery-based Framework for Intelligent Help Systems Titash Neogi - Symantec As companies move from the traditional model of engineering products to delivering solutions, where multiple "products" are clubbed together to form solutions, the challenges of user documentation become increasingly unique. A solution is created by clubbing two or more products together. Consequently, users often have to refer to multiple sets of user guides, each several hundred pages in size. For obtaining help on any feature in the solution, the customer has to refer to multiple documentations sets. For Symantec's customers, this was a pain point, and the technical publications group eventually had to find to way resolve this issue. In this demo, Titash Neogi from Symantec demonstrates how his organization addressed this customer concerns by using an XQuery-based framework for intelligent Help systems.

Once this integration is done and you content is migrated to DITA, multi-channel publishing is as simple as clicking Generate Output, and your content can be published to any of the following formats: CHM, JavaHelp, HTML Help, EclipseHelp, or PDF.
