Hear ye! Hear ye!

It has been an epic quarter of a century during which the domain evolved from being a support function (technical writing) to becoming an indispensable service (user assistance).

The journey has been characterized by a Whatever It Takes (WIT) attitude that brought us thus far, and we believe that it will take us ahead.

While we reflect on the blockbuster journey so far, we should also have an eye on the future and prepare for the next quarter of a century, if not more!

In this quest, let us explore evolving trends from the wider User Assistance domain; be it Technical Writing, Instructional Design, User Experience, and more.

Calling all of you share your learnings and feedforward in all its shapes and forms; the formal and the informal; the structured and the unstructured; the regular and the innovative.

Call for Session Proposal 

It gives us great pleasure to invite session proposals for the STC India Annual Conference 2023 to be held in June 2023. This is the Silver Jubilee Year for STC India (2023) and the Annual Conference is the 25th edition of Annual Conference for the organization.

This year’s theme is “25 now and 25 next – Whatever It Takes”.

To quote our very own Nibu Thomas:
“STC India 25 now and 25 next – Whatever It Takes

I think that’s what has brought us so far …and that’s what will take us ahead!
It’s not just a theme, but an attitude!
And since, you are what you celebrate…
Celebrating- whatever it takes!”

We are inviting presentations that focus on the theme of the conference – highlighting the grit, determination, successes, failures, and future prospects of this journey. We would like the conference to highlight the practical applications of technical writing skills, tools, technology, and emerging trends. We welcome all levels of complexity and unique ways of content creation, delivery, and accessibility.

We are looking for excellent presenters who can engage the attendees and help them learn or improve a skill, increase their professional competence, enhance their leadership skills, and understand career growth opportunities.
